Vanessa Martin
Vanessa Martin was born and raised in
Miami, Florida where she attended Barry University and received her
Bachelor's degree in Special Education. She enjoys working with
children and looks forward to continue making a difference in their
lives. She is currently enrolled as a Master's student at the
University of Wisconsin-Madison. She plans on using this degree to
improve students' information literacy abilities, as well as motivate
and encourage them to read a variety of genres that will broaden their
imaginations and aid them in becoming successful in the future. She has
always been interested in working with the Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing
population. She has taken several courses in hopes of becoming
tri-lingual and proficient in communicating with this population so
that she is also able to teach them and make them feel comfortable in
the hearing community. She enjoys days at the beach, dancing,
traveling, and hanging out with family and friends.
